Farrell Victor had three rushes for 103 yards and two touchdowns Friday in the Las Vegas High football team’s 58-13 victory against Eldorado in the Northeast Division opener for both schools.
Las Vegas (3-0, 1-0 Northeast) jumped out to a quick lead thanks to its work on special teams. The Wildcats returned a blocked punt for a touchdown, and after forcing a three-and-out on Eldorado’s ensuing possession, Victor returned a punt for a score.
“It was 21-0 in the blink of an eye,” Las Vegas High coach James Thurman said.
Vince Castro added eight rushes for 86 yards and two touchdowns for Las Vegas, while quarterback Hasaan Henderson had a touchdown pass in limited work.
“We had a game plan and I thought the kids executed it well, especially in the beginning,” Thurman said.
Eldorado’s record fell to 1-2 overall.
