Following up on our exclusive revelations of the major Strip changes afoot for the fall:

We now have an official last day at the Paris for music legend Barry Manilow. It’s Dec. 11, but as of yet, I don’t have his opening night date for his move to Harrah’s early next year. The opening date for Jersey Boys, ending its run at the Palazzo and taking Barry’s stage at the Paris, also is not yet set in cement -- but both are definite moves.

I’ve learned more about the Pink Elephant project that’s set to open in the first quarter of 2012 at one of our leading Strip properties. Pink Elephants are already open, with two in Brazil and one in Mexico and another planned for New York City.

They are nightclub lounges with a difference patterned after lavish yet intimate hot spots in St. Tropez and Rio de Janeiro. A highlight feature is a 30-foot-long curving floating bar complete with floating leather chairs above the amphitheater section, with a NASA-engineered, four-zoned sound system and special effects booth. Bruce Willis, Diddy, Fergie and Pink are big Pink Elephant aficionados.

Caesars Palace confirmed shortly after our story Tuesday that the first arrivals will enter the new $860 million Octavius Tower as of Jan. 2, but you’ll be able to start booking those plush pads as of today. Caesars also will open its Homestead Steak House this winter and promises that its new Nobu Hotel tower, restaurant and lounge will open next summer.

The Octavius Tower, the sixth for the property, will feature 668 rooms, including 60 suites and six luxury villas all with unique iPad/iPod devices for direct access to all hotel facilities.
