U.S. 93 paving to slow travel between Las Vegas and Phoenix

Road project

Motorists traveling between Las Vegas and Phoenix this week should be prepared for delays resulting from a paving project on U.S. 93.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is improving 7.5 miles of U.S. 93 near Kingman, from Grandview Avenue to Rancho Road near So-Hi Estates.

This week, crews will be repaving the Coyote Pass section of the road from the northern boundary of Kingman to the Route 68 interchange. The work is scheduled for 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday to Thursday.

Motorists should expect brief delays and intermittent lane closures in the work zone, officials said.

Crews are also working on U.S. 93 at the Johnson Wash Bridge in downtown Kingman. Traffic will be restricted in that area through mid September, officials said.
