Nevada Republican Chairwoman Amy Tarkanian is keeping her title after she helped the state party navigate a national battle over the presidential nomination calendar.
Tarkanian was re-elected unopposed Saturday during a state GOP central committee meeting on the Las Vegas Strip.
The vote came after Tarkanian guided the GOP through a high-profile vote to delay its Republican presidential caucuses by three weeks to Feb. 4. The move came in response to a threat from New Hampshire to move their first-in-the-nation primary to December.
The Nevada GOP also voted against same-day voter registration during the caucuses after some members predicted the change would yield voter fraud.
Tarkanian was first elected to her post earlier this year after former GOP chairman Mark Amodei resigned to campaign for his current U.S. House seat.
