House fire
A house fire in the eastern valley Friday morning caused $25,000 damage and displaced five people, officials said.
The Clark County Fire Department was called at 8:10 a.m. to a single-story house at 4479 Boston Ave., near Sahara Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, county spokesman Dan Kulin said.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire by 8:25 a.m. No one was injured in the blaze, Kulin said.
Officials believe the fire started in an exterior storage unit and then spread to the house, but the cause remains under investigation, Kulin said.
The American Red Cross is assisting four adults, one child and two pets, it said.
