Bridge work
Sun Coverage
Roadwork at McCarran International Airport might cause traffic delays in the airport connector tunnel during the next two weeks.
Crews are working on a new bridge that will connect the tunnel to Terminal 3, which is scheduled to open next summer.
The ironwork will be taking place from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday through Thursday nights from tonight to Oct. 27.
Lane closures will be in place when needed and will only affect northbound traffic, airport officials said. Lane restrictions and traffic effects will vary depending on where welding is taking place.
Some of the lane closures will reduce northbound Paradise Road to one lane and will close the exit to Flight Path Avenue.
Additional lane closures will occur in the same area in November while concrete is poured, but not during the Thanksgiving travel period, officials said.
