Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival

Ye olde Renaissance Festival is returning for three days with medieval games, re-enactments and jousting competitions. The annual festival, now in its 18th year, will be at a new location, Silver Bowl Park, 6800 E. Russell Road, and runs 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Saturday, then from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Pure Aloha Festival

The Pure Aloha Festival returns to the Silverton this weekend. The festival will feature more than 100 booths, food vendors and rides, as well as cultural performances and live music. No wonder Las Vegas is referred to as Hawaii’s ninth island.

The Pure Aloha Festival begins today and runs until Sunday. Times vary by day, and tickets run $5 to $7. Concert tickets are an additional charge.

Hispanic International Parade

According to organizers of the Hispanic International Parade, the Hispanic demographic in Las Vegas represents 21 countries. In order to celebrate that diversity, the parade and post-parade festival will include food and music from the various ethnicities, as well as representatives from each community.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocean and Water streets in Henderson and travels to Victory Road. For more information, call 267-2171, or click here.

Crush

Crush at Paris Las Vegas is a monthlong series of events celebrating wine.

Grape Stomp Festival

Pahrump Valley Winery celebrates the new harvest season with its annual grape-stomping competition. Teams of two will compete to see how much juice they can stomp and collect in two minutes.

Journey

You better believe it. Journey returns to Las Vegas this weekend to perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Family, Fur & Fun Festival

Mountain’s Edge is partnering with the Nevada Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to educate and entertain animal lovers. Planned events include pet adoptions, pet photography, animal massages, raffles and on-site $5 microchipping services.

‘A Streetcar Named Desire’

This year marks the centennial of the birth of the great American playwright Tennessee Williams. In celebration of this, the Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV will perform his Pulitzer Prize-winning “A Streetcar Named Desire.”

The first performance of “A Streetcar Named Desire” is scheduled for 8 p.m. today at the Judy Bayley Theatre at UNLV. Additional performances are scheduled through Oct. 15.
