You should care about the economy

To Victor Moss, who, in his letter Wednesday, said 98.9999999 percent of us don’t care about the Occupy Las Vegas group: Speak for yourself! You are surely one of the 99 percent of the population who are being made poorer while 1 percent is getting richer due to laws and deals made in Congress in the past 10 years, so you should care.

The people who are occupying Las Vegas are standing up for all of us. We should all be protesting the economic decisions of our representatives.

A healthier economy would be better for all of us, including the 1 percent, so it is surprising that the Republicans are still insisting on cutting Social Security and Medicare while giving more tax breaks to the wealthy.

If the middle class disappears, no one will benefit, not even the 1 percent. They will end up with 99 percent of nothing.
