While I commend Clark County District Attorney David Roger for the service he has given us, I am very unhappy with his leaving office after only one year of his four-year term. We elected him for a full term or close to it, not just a year.
It would be different if he were ill or needed to spend more time with family, but he apparently is leaving for another job, and therefore I feel he misled voters when he ran for a four-year term without mention that he might not complete it. Now we get to have political hacks replace him, and we don’t even know if the replacement will be temporary or permanent. Apparently, in this case, we have a problem with a politician even when he is doing a good job!
I am very disappointed that Mr. Roger has chosen to leave his constituency by the wayside in order to pursue better personal options.
