Henderson man killed in motorcycle accident

A Henderson man is dead after being ejected from a motorcycle that collided with an SUV Monday night on State Route 160 in Pahrump, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Trooper Loy Hixon said Thomas Robinson, 21, of Pahrump was driving a 1998 Jeep SUV north on State Route 160 at about 8:25 p.m. Monday.

Robinson was approaching the Basin Avenue intersection as Ivan P. David, 32, of Henderson was riding a 2008 Harley Davidson south in the left travel lane, police said.

Hixon said Robinson entered the intersection to make a left turn onto Basin

Avenue as David entered the intersection, striking the motorcycle.

David and a 23-year-old female passenger were thrown from the motorcycle.

They were transported to Desert View Hospital in Pahrump, where David died, police said.

The female passenger remains in the hospital. Her condition was not released.

Hixon said the accident report indicates Robinson failed to yield, and he was cited in the wreck.
