A 46-year-old man walking on Interstate 15 was struck by a car and killed this morning on the freeway near the Las Vegas Strip.
The accident occurred about 1:30 a.m. near the I-15 interchange with Flamingo Road. Nevada Highway Patrol spokeswoman Chelita Rojas said a black Nissan truck traveling northbound struck the man as he was walking west across the interstate.
The 30-year-old man driving the truck reported minor injuries but wasn’t taken to a hospital, Rojas said.
The pedestrian's name will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
