A man dressed like Batman was body slammed onto a Las Vegas Strip sidewalk after scuffling with a bystander.
Las Vegas police spokesman Bill Cassell said the fight occurred just after 1 p.m. Saturday.
A video of the scuffle posted on YouTube shows the wannabe Caped Crusader and a bystander exchanging words.
Batman throws the first blow and aims a series of body slaps at his rival.
The other man eventually picks up the Batman impersonator and dumps him on the sidewalk.
The man punches the Batman lookalike several times.
Cassell says it was unclear what started the short fight. Neither man involved filed a police report.
Men and women dressed like movie characters are a regular fixture on the Strip.
But Cassell says fights involving costumed characters are rare.

Did Batman really unmask himself after that beatdown?
Notice the big guy behind the fight - wife pulling him away - probably saying - 'you aren't Robin.' - You can't come to Batman's rescue.
This is the youth that our "teachers' are "educating". great job, teachers!
Wasn't that Patrick R. Gibbons in the suit?
billy stop it...
i think i peed my pants!!!
i think batman forgot he has no super powers!!!!
Vegas, where the action is non stop, even for super heros.
Someone needs to remind Batman that he is the "Dark Knight" and that the Strip is to dangerous for him during the day.
Kevin, please go back to one of our wonderful high schools in the CCSD and take some grammar lessons. Your lack of education is definitely showing.
If it was Patty R. Gibbons, you can bet that he'll soon be prancing around as an expert on crime with his "extensive" background.
Yeah. Had some family visiting and saw a homeless Ironman walking around with a roller luggage. I honestly think this "batman" thought he was special with his slappy hand movements. Just when I think my hometown cannot get any weirder, Batman gets slammed WCW style.
Paddy R. Gibbons is Robin.

Where is this? In front of Casino Royale?
Do these costume characters have permits to pander to the public. If not: they should be arrested & ticketed, like the pretender homeless should be. Give these people permits would be a moneymaker to the County (for the Strip) & City of Las Vegas (for Fremont Street).
