Henderson will welcome a second Country Fresh Farmers Market on Friday.
For the past seven years, the Country Fresh Farmers Market has been operating each Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Henderson’ Water Street District, attracting hundreds of visitors each week.
The market will open its second location at the Henderson Pavilion, 200 S. Green Valley Parkway, on the southwest corner at Paseo Verde Parkway. The farmers market will be open each Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Admission is free.
“We are looking forward to expanding the farmers market to other locations within our community,” said Henderson City Manager Mark Calhoun. “This will give people in different parts of the city the opportunity to experience the personal touch and feel this event provides, in addition to giving them access to premium, quality produce each week.”
Dozens of merchants are expected to participate, including seasonal fruit and vegetable vendors, bread and pastry bakers and kettle corn sellers. The market will also feature crafters selling hand-made dolls, jewelry and gift baskets.
