A flight from Miami to San Francisco made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport on Friday morning after a pilot reported smoke in the cockpit.
Airport spokesman Chris Jones said the American Airlines Flight 431, a Boeing 757 plane with 165 people on board, landed safely at McCarran about 11:20 a.m.
Clark County firefighters were on the scene with investigators to determine the cause of the smoke, Jones said.
