Police release photos of man wanted in armed robbery at store

Metro Police released surveillance video images today of a man wanted in an armed robbery at an eastern valley convenience store in late February.

Police said the man is seen entering the store at 4:55 a.m. Feb. 23 in the area of Sahara Avenue and Lamb Boulevard.

The man approached the counter, where police say he pulled a handgun and pointed it at the clerk while demanding money. The man fled after the clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

Authorities described the man as Hispanic, 28 to 32 years old and about 5-feet-3-inches to 5-feet-4-inches tall. He weighs 130 to 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes, police said.

He was last seen wearing a read beanie with a white logo on it, a red shirt, dark-colored jacket, dark pants and white shoes, police said.
