Bally Technologies executive named Shuffle Master CEO

Bally Technologies Inc. executive Gavin Isaacs in Las Vegas today was named CEO at another Las Vegas casino supplier, Shuffle Master Inc.

Isaacs fills a position at Shuffle Master that has been filled on an interim basis since November by COO David Lopez.

Before that, Phillip Peckman, a Shuffle Master board member at the time, served as interim CEO since April 26.

CEO Timothy Parrott left because of health reasons in April and he died in May.

At Bally, Isaacs served since 2006 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Earlier, he held senior roles at slot maker Aristocrat Leisure Limited.

Shuffle Master makes card shufflers and other equipment for casinos while Bally provides slot machines and gaming systems.

“After an extensive search in which we considered many talented and qualified CEO candidates, Gavin met all of our key criteria to lead Shuffle Master's next chapter of growth and strategic initiatives,” Shuffle Master Chairman Garry Saunders said in a statement. “His extensive and proven leadership in the international gaming technology and equipment space makes him an excellent leader for our skilled team of industry professionals. We believe that Gavin will be able to drive both innovation and efficient execution of our strategies in order to deliver increased value to our shareholders.”

At Bally, the company today announced the promotion of Ramesh Srinivasan to president and chief operating officer, succeeding Isaacs.

Srinivasan will be responsible for all of Bally’s worldwide games, systems, server-based products and customer service, reporting to CEO Richard Haddrill. Srinivasan joined Bally in 2005 as executive vice president of Bally Systems.
