Metro Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a cell phone thief who has been stealing from AT&T and T-Mobile stores in the eastern valley.

Police said the man typically enters the stores and pretends to be a customer before grabbing high-end cell phones from displays, detaching the security cords and fleeing on foot.

Authorities believe the man is responsible for four or five grand larcenies within the last month.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the property crimes section of Metro's northeast area command at (702) 828-7351 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
