A brisk morning run (or walk) on March 26 will benefit the families at Adam's Place as part of the fourth annual "Step Out for Safety, Step Up for Health" 5K run and 1-mile Fun Run.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. in the UMC Trauma Center's parking lot, 1800 W. Charleston Blvd. Entry is $15 for individuals and $20 for families.
All proceeds go to Adam's Place, a grief center for children, teens and families that was founded in 2010 by the family of Adam Thomas, who died at age 21 in a car accident in Reno in 2007. The group offers programs for individuals and families who have recently suffered the loss of a loved one.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in the 5K run. The first 400 participants will receive a free goodie bag and T-shirt.
For more information, call 702-481-1996 or visit the Adam's Place website.
