Local artist’s work to be displayed at Henderson Multigenerational Center

Glenn Haywood, the student of a valley art teacher, will have his oil paintings displayed at the Henderson Multigenerational Center for the next month after an opening reception on Wednesday.

The reception will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Haywood will be available to talk with guests about his work. Admission is free.

Haywood is a student of Lois Payne, who has taught in Las Vegas for years, the city of Henderson's cultural affairs department said in a news release. Haywood's work is characterized by a "mostly realist style" that emphasizes light and values.

Those interested can visit the gallery at the following hours: Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The multigenerational center is located at 250 S. Green Valley Parkway. For more information, call 702-267-2171.
