Where to go and what to watch this week

GO

Cee Lo vs. The Ting Tings This “soundclash” will stage the Southern soul singer and U.K. indie-pop pair on two ends of a vacant lot, then put them through a series of “tasks” involving their—and their opposite numbers’—songs. Sounds wild. March 12, 8 p.m., $10 pre-sale, $15 day-of, MGM lot across from the Luxor, redbullusa.com/soundclash.

Neon Reverb Music, art, stories and food trucks? Yep. March 10-13, various times and venues, neonreverb.com.

Polish symphony UNLV’s Charles Vanda Master Series brings Opole, Philharmonic of Poland together with Russian pianist Evgeni Mikhailov to perform Paderewski’s “Piano Concerto in A minor” and Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5.” March 12, 8 p.m., Artemus Ham Hall, $35-$70.

SEE

Firefly The most-loved sci-fi show ever. Period. And it’s back on the air—kinda. The 2002 series is re-airing with intriguing extras, including Dr. Michio Kaku, who comments on the show’s science. Cool. Sundays, Science Channel.

The Adjustment Bureau Combining sci-fi and romance, this Philip K. Dick adaptation brings a skewed sensibility to both. Leads Matt Damon and Emily Blunt have strong chemistry as lovers kept apart by mysterious forces. Now playing citywide.

Drive Angry Insanity piles on top of insanity in this gleefully stupid B-movie about a man escaped from Hell to track down his kidnapped granddaughter. Contains possibly cinema’s finest combo sex scene/shootout. Now playing citywide.
