Ghost hunter Zak Bagans is turning to fans of his Travel Channel series Ghost Adventures to win over The White House. He’s petitioned President Obama and Congress to get access to investigate ghost sightings at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The Las Vegas on-air host and producer tells me, though, that he’s heard nothing: “After months of trying as an American citizen and a media professional with a large audience, I believe I am entitled to explore the phenomena and share my findings. Now I’m turning to my loyal fans to sign a petition to let me into The White House.

He’s set up a Web site with The Travel Channel for TV viewers to sign in to support his petition. And here’s his blog about his attempts to get into The White House. He describes his obsession in going and admits that Congress and The White House are on his bucket list for Ghost Adventures investigations.

*Here’s the first official photos of MTV’s Spring Break at the Palms, and nothing says it better than the pool parties and music performances. MTV is playing host to thousands of college students with the official bash here for the first time. Day Three is underway today with Lupe Fiasco, and the final day of shooting is tomorrow with a fashion show. There have been poolside performances by DJ Pauly D, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa and a surprise from Ne-Yo, who shocked the crowd in joining Pitbull onstage.

*Hotel mogul Steve Wynn made it official this morning confirming our earlier reports that Sinatra: Dance With Me will be extended through April 30 due to overwhelming demand. Additionally, the Wynn is now offering the Sinatra Dine and Dance With Me package, which includes classic Italian fare and Frank Sinatra’s own favorite cuisine from Chef Theo Schoenegger at Sinatra.

*Congratulations to singer Marley Taylor and trumpet player David Perrico on teaming for their debut CD release What If. Their release party is at Oasis Lounge at the Las Vegas Hilton this evening, and you can watch their combined talents on YouTube.

Star Surveillance

Mel B, who originated the role of Peep Diva in Peepshow at Planet Hollywood, returned to see its new look, and posed for a photo with cast members Josh Strickland and the current Peep Diva, Cheaza, after the show. DJ Pauly D dined at N9NE Steakhouse at the Palms in a party of eight that included NASCAR driver Marco Andretti before partying at The Playboy Club, where they were joined by cast mate Deena Cortese. Guns ’N Roses bass player Duff McKagan was spotted at Starbucks at the Hard Rock Hotel. NASCAR driver Brian Vickers partied at Lavo at the Palazzo, with Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints at a nearby dance floor VIP table. Also at Lavo: Amber Lancaster, Paul Iacono and Jayson Blair from The Hard Times of R.J. Berger were joined by Aimee Teegarden of Friday Night Lights, plus Redfoo from LMFAO partied with 20 members of the Party Rock crew.

Tonight’s tips

Max Alexander, Scott Henry and Dave Krause are at The Improv at Harrah’s through Sunday. Max is one of a few comics who has performed for Johnny Carson, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien on The Tonight Show. Radio Men make their Las Vegas debut at Blush at the Wynn, and UFC ring girl Arianny Celeste hosts at Chateau at the Paris.

And tomorrow morning, Mayor Oscar Goodman unveils one of the most historically significant and fascinating artifacts at the downtown Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement that centers on Albert Anastasia, the Gambino crime boss known for his gang of hitmen responsible for more than 400 Mob rubouts in the 1950s.

Tomorrow’s teases

We’ll finally catch up with our The Real World 25, Jersey Shore and Celebrity Apprentice stories and have the full photo report of Kyle Busch’s go-kart racing fundraiser and the celebs who helped out at St. Baldrick’s hair-shaving.

  1. First, everyone is a "ghost hunter" suddenly. Every undereducated tattoed bum is romping around with tape recorders and night-shot making a big whoopie doo out of every shadow cast by their cameraman!

And didn't he notice Ezra the hitchhiking ghost from Disney's Haunted Mansion standing right next to him?! To think he was once a heartthrob. If you saw him in your bedroom now in the middle of the night your heart would just stop.

  2. I wonder if certain strip properties are haunted by the ghosts of construction workers.

  3. What happened to Greico??
