Police seek public’s help in finding jewel thief

Metro police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man in this surveillance photo who robbed several large diamonds, valued at more than $500,000, about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2011, from a jewelry store in the 8500 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard.

Metro police are are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who allegedly stole several large diamonds valued at over $500,000.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m on Saturday, the man entered a jewelry store in the 8500 block of West Lake Mead Boulevard. He was able to grab the diamonds and then flee the store.

Police are describing the suspect as a white male in his mid-20’s. Approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, with brown hair and brown eyes.
