UNLV graduate Sam Davis will debut his new show, "False Horizon," at the Trifecta Gallery inside the Arts Factory tonight.
The opening reception will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be complimentary drinks and snacks, and the artist will be available to answer questions about his work.
The exhibit will be displayed through March 26.
Davis earned a master's degree in fine arts at UNLV. "False Horizon" will feature recurring themes in his art, such as airships, blimps and jumbo jets -- drawn from Davis' childhood in Florida, as well as other "rockets, robots and astronomic anomalies" partly inspired by the tales of atomic testing at the Nevada Test Site, according to a gallery press release.
His work includes cast iron, screenprinting and laser-cut drawings.
The Trifecta Gallery is located inside the Arts Factory at 135 E. Charleston Blvd. For more information, call 702-366-7001.
