Metro Police arrested a man Tuesday on a count of impersonating a police officer after he allegedly conducted several vehicle stops.

Police said Bradley Wedge of Goodsprings bought a retired Nevada Highway Patrol car, a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria, and registered it with personalized license plates that read “K9UNIT.”

Officers conducted an investigation over an eight-month period and found that Wedge had conducted at least five vehicle stops, police said.

According to officials, Wedge would activate LED lights similar to those of police emergency lights to pull a vehicle over. Police released a photo of the vehicle used in the traffic stops.

Other potential victims are being asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
