Henderson Police are looking for two men who shot and robbed a 17-year-old boy at a Green Valley Parkway bus stop earlier this month, authorities said today.

Police said the teen was at the bus stop about 6 a.m. June 19 on Green Valley Parkway near Silver Springs Parkway when the shooting occurred.

The teen was listening to music with his eyes closed when two men confronted him and demanded he give them everything he had, police said. One of the men was pointing a black revolver with silver duct tape around the grip at the teen, authorities said.

The boy thought the handgun was fake, so he pushed one of the men, police said.

The man with the gun then shot the teen in the hip, while the other man grabbed the boy's headphones before they ran from the scene, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for the wound, which wasn't life-threatening, police said.

Authorities described one man as white, 30 to 35 years old with short, light brown hair and a full beard. He was wearing a dark blue shirt. The man with the gun was described only as white and 20 to 25 years old, police said.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Henderson Police Department at (702) 267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit crimestoppersofnv.com.
