Chef Mary Sue Milliken from Border Grill at Mandalay Bay competes in tonight’s Top Chef Masters finals on Bravo after winning four of the nine elimination challenges, the most of any cheftestant this Season 3 and accumulating $40,000 for her chosen charity Share Our Strength. Will she be crowned champion and win the $100,000 for her food bank charity?
The chefs have to prepare an amazing dinner party, and surprise guests include Mary Sue’s own chef-partner Susan Feniger, TCM runner-up Rick Moonen of RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay and Top Chef host Tom Colicchio, whose Craftsteak is at Mandalay Bay.
As you can see from the preview video clips, it’s intense right down to the wire, and for one chef a near-miss altogether having been stuck in L.A.’s notorious traffic. Fans can tweet live with Mary Sue tomorrow (@BorderGrill) from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and ask her questions about the tough kitchen wars. Plus, she has prizes for the best Twitter questions.
*Also tonight, it’s all Las Vegas in Episode 3 of Oxygen’s The World According to Paris. Paris Hilton sets out to make it clear that she’s more a thrill-seeking adventurer than a run-of-the-mill socialite. She brings her best girlfriends on a Las Vegas trip that includes skydiving, tattoos, partying at Pure at Caesars Palace -- and a never-to-be forgotten fiery dinner at Serendipity 3, which I witnessed as a guest.
*Amazing Palms mentalist Lior Suchard appears on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno alongside Kim Kardashian this evening, so we’ll see what happens when he reads her mind! (Maybe she’ll have some choice words for Edie Falco!) Then he’s back for a weekend of shows in The Lounge starting tomorrow.
*Tomorrow morning is The Gayle King Show’s one-hour episode featuring a behind-the-scenes tour of The Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil in celebration of last week’s fifth anniversary at the Mirage. Gayle has interviews with Sir Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, Olivia Harrison, Sir George Martin, Giles Martin and Love director Dominic Champagne. Paul discusses why John Lennon and he first started writing original songs, and why after all these years he still loves performing. Yoko and Olivia talk about their lives with John and George, respectively. The special reruns in primetime tomorrow night on The Oprah Winfrey Network.
*A new 1-hour special on Celine Dion titled Three Boys & a New Show filmed at her $17 million waterfront estate in Jupiter Island, Fla., and at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace airs on OWN on June 26.
