How many great brews could you drink in four hours? You can find out at this year’s Great Vegas Festival of Beer, where for one price you’ll be able to sample as many different craft brews as you can handle in a pleasant Summerlin location, all the while enjoying the island sounds of Las Vegas group Kava Kreation. The event is sponsored by Motley Brews, a local company created by Chris Grimes and Brian Chapin to put on beer-centric events. As event spokesman Ty Largo explains, “Chris and Brian live in the area and are big fans of craft brewing. They want to help bolster the beer culture in Las Vegas.” That beer culture will be well-represented this weekend, with selections from Kona, Deschutes, Lagunitas, Mendocino Brewing Company, New Belgium and Wasatch, along with local breweries Big Dog’s, Tenaya Creek, Chicago Brewing Company and Joseph James. Getting thirsty yet?
