Want to be a millionaire? Clear your calendar for July 29.
That’s when producers from the hit TV show “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” will descend on Las Vegas looking for contestants.
Auditions will be held at the Gold Coast. Show hopefuls will take a timed multiple choice test, and if they pass, sit for an interview with a producer.
Two auditions are planned: one from 7 to 11 a.m. and another from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. No registration is required, and people can line up for an audition at any time during the sessions. No one will be allowed in line before 6 a.m. Participants must be 18 or older and U.S. residents.
Las Vegas is one of six cities selected for auditions. Producers also scoured Harrisburg, Pa.; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Washington, D.C.; and Tampa, Fla., for contestants.
Throughout the show’s nine seasons, host Meredith Vieira has handed out almost $65 million in winnings. Producers have come to Las Vegas before for casting calls, and at least a handful of locals have enjoyed winnings.
Here’s hoping more money comes this way.
