Letter to the editor:

Voters are at fault for supporting GOP’s tactics

I see that Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader of the Senate, is true to his word that he will see the fall of President Barack Obama and make sure that he does not have a second term. He seems to be on course, but at the expense of the American public.

McConnell and his confederates are making sure the budget isn’t done on time, continuing the destruction of the economy, because they don’t want their taxes raised by closing loopholes for the rich and big business. They certainly should not receive their paychecks if we who are on Social Security don’t get ours.

Let us all suffer together, but I blame voters for most of this suffering we are having because of their ignorance of what Congress is doing. I don’t know when they will wake up.

  1. And what did the Dumbocrats do to George W? Golly gee, the same thing. That's the way it is and that's the way the Founders wanted it. They feared big government and they concocted a method, or so they thought, to keep it in check. Not so much any more, though, with the tax & spend, control-every-movement-and-thought crowd. Washington D.C. has become a bloated, finger-in-every-pie monstrosity over the last 100 years and it's long past time that the citizens reined it in.

  2. dipstick - "jerry; bush did it to himself as the voters found out what a bunch of liars cowards and hypocrits the republicans really are."

LastThroes - "Rational, common sense Republicans went the way of the Edsel and rotary-dial telephones."

VidiVeritas - "The radical extremist so-called republicans tell you over and over they are fiscally responsible with taxpayer dollars but that is not the case."

Three accurate comments that put things in perspective without the Fox spin.

What happened to the Pledge to America? Did the Republican/Tea Party forget their promises as soon as they entered Washington?
