Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon to waive entrance fees this weekend

Lake Mead National Recreation Area and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area will offer free admission for visitors Saturday through Monday in recognition of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

"In these tough economic times, it is important that families have inexpensive opportunities to enjoy the Silver State's many natural and historic treasures," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said in a statement.
