High School Proficiency Exams are fast approaching. Clark County schools recently received a grant from the Target Foundation for $50,000 to pay for math tutoring at 10 area libraries as students prepare for the tests.
The HSPE begin on March 7, and the libraries will be holding sessions through next week for students to catch up on some math studying before then.
These 10 libraries are offering tutoring session at the following days and times:
- Alexandria, 1755 W. Alexander Road; Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Centennial Hills, 6711 N. Buffalo Drive; Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday from 5 p.m. To 6 p.m.
- Clark County, 1401 E. Flamingo Road; Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Enterprise, 25 E. Shelbourne Ave.; Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Green Valley, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway; Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Gibson, 100 W. Lake Mead Parkway; Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sahara West, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.; Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Spring Valley, 4280 S. Jones Blvd.; Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave.; Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd.; Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
