Desert Inn Road closure

Desert Inn Road will be closed tonight near the Las Vegas Strip.
That portion of the thoroughfare will be closed in both directions from Valley View Drive to Paradise Road, where the road goes under Las Vegas Boulevard and over Interstate 15.
The closure will be from 9 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Thursday while crews install concrete girders on the south side of the bridge deck for Las Vegas Boulevard.
Clark County is building a new bridge deck to expand the existing Desert Inn Road tunnel under Las Vegas Boulevard.
The $3.5 million project includes the realignment of Stardust Road, which connects the Strip and Industrial Road, and Encore Way.
The project will also include tunnel lighting improvements and dynamic message board upgrades.
The contractor for the project is Meadow Valley Contractors. The project is expected to be complete this summer.
