A Nellis Air Force Base airman died Wednesday afternoon from cardiac arrest while working out on a treadmill.
Tech. Sgt. Robert V. Hetrick Jr., 36, collapsed at the Nellis Fitness Center at 12:40 p.m., said Nellis spokesman Charles Ramey.
Fitness and medical personnel administered CPR and used a defibrillator to try to revive Hetrick. He was transferred the Mike O’Callahan Federal Hospital and pronounced dead at 12:50 p.m.
Hetrick was an F15 maintenance crew chief assigned to the 57th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He transferred to Nellis earlier this week from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia, Ramey said.
Details about services have not been released.
