Tennis aces and Las Vegas residents Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf and Keep Memory Alive Foundation founder Larry Ruvo attended a holiday dinner at Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health, where Chef Michel Richard of Central at Caesars Palace served the taste treats.
Michel dazzled with his Muscovy duck in cinnamon beet sauce and elaborate snowman-shaped vacherins -- ice cream-filled meringue sculptures. The event was held for the annual induction ceremony of the Las Vegas Baillage of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, an international gastronomic society founded in Paris in the 13th century.
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson and singer Al B. Sure enjoyed brunch at “Iron Chef” winner Kerry Simon’s restaurant Simon at Palms Place. Mike enjoyed pastries, egg whites and fruit.
Outfielder Shane Victorino of the Philadelphia Phillies and his wife Melissa were joined at PT’s Gold by UFC fighter Roy “Big Country” Nelson and Golden Gaming head honchos Steve Arcana and Blake Sartini to host a toy drive benefiting women’s and children’s shelter the Shade Tree and Toys for Tots. Shane signed memorabilia that was raffled off for extra charity funds that totaled $18,600 and was presented at halftime during the New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles game yesterday.
Palms exec George Maloof was spotted with a female companion sampling red wine and wine cupcakes at Double Helix Wine and Whiskey Lounge at Town Square ahead of a second one opening at Tivoli Village next year. … Luxor comedy headliner Carrot Top was happy to sit at the bar of Wolfgang Puck’s Spago in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace to enjoy a lunchtime Thai chicken salad.
… Former NBA star Spencer Haywood dined at the new off-Strip vegan restaurant Greens & Proteins. The former L.A. Laker and Olympic champion enjoyed a turkey burger, broccoli soup and a wellness drink. Chad Billingsley of the Florida Marlins stopped in for carrot juice and the menu attraction “Build Your Own Chicken Dinner.
The Luxor ladies of “Fantasy” joined the handsome hunks of the Excalibur’s Thunder From Down Under to become crime scene investigators as they toured “CSI: The Experience” at MGM Grand. Members from the popular Strip shows competed against one another in a crime-solving showdown that ended in a tie.
