Police seek bank robber who claimed he had a bomb

Metro Police said today they are looking for a man who robbed a bank Tuesday in the 4800 block of Desert Inn Road who claimed he had a bomb.

The man entered the bank about 4 p.m., pulled out a bag and a note indicating he had a bomb and a gun, then demanded money, police said.

The teller complied and the man ran out the door toward Decatur Boulevard. Authorities didn't identify the bank.

The man was described as Hispanic, about 25 to 30 years old, 5-feet-5-inches tall and about 150 pounds. He has a mustache and was last seen wearing a blue fishing-style hat with a blue and white striped shirt and sunglasses.
