A woman whose boyfriend was shot by police on Monday told authorities she got away when he attacked her by shocking him with a stun gun, a Metro arrest report said.

Officers later confronted Allen J. Stout, 36, and shot him after he pointed a gun at them, police said. Stout was taken to University Medical Center for treatment and later booked into the county jail, police said.

According to the arrest report, the woman was in the apartment she shared with Stout at 7300 Pirates Cove about 2 p.m. when he came in through a window, grabbed her by the hair and bit her. She ran outside, but Stout knocked her to the sidewalk, pounded her head into the concrete and choked her until she felt like she was going to pass out, the report said.

Stout pulled a handgun, threatening to kill the woman and himself, before she pulled out a stun gun and shocked him several times, the report alleges. When Stout dropped the gun, the woman threw it away and ran, the report said.

By the time police arrived, Stout was gone, the report said.

A couple hours later, Stout went to another apartment — two women and four young children were there — and tried to talk his way inside several times, the arrest report said.

Janeen Placencia, who was visiting, called police because her friend told her officers had been looking for a man all afternoon and that Stout was acting strangely, the report said.

A short time later, Stout returned and pushed his way into the apartment with a gun as Placencia grabbed her phone and called 911, the report said. Stout became angry, pointed the gun and her and said things were “going to get ugly,” the report said.

He then got a bottle of water from the refrigerator, put the gun on the counter and started to drink the water, the report said.

“I had the children in the back bedroom screaming and the police walking the area heard the screams of the kids yelling,” Placencia said in a previous interview.

When the police kicked in the door, Stout grabbed his gun as the women ran toward the bedroom, the report said.

Metro officer J. Marty told detectives that after he kicked the door open and went inside with two other officers, he saw Stout in the kitchen with the gun. He ordered him several times to put the gun down, but Stout refused and said something to the effect of “you’re going to have to shoot me,” the report said.

Both women also said they heard the police tell Stout to drop his gun several times and Stout say something like “just shoot me,” the report said.

A police dog was released and when Stout raised his gun toward the officers, Marty fired one shot, hitting Stout in the lower right side, the report said.

Stout was booked into the Clark County Detention Center without bail on six counts of kidnapping with a deadly weapon and one count each of home invasion, resisting arrest and domestic violence battery.

Stout is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
