Three cheers for a resolution to the debt-ceiling debate. No cheers, however, for the immature, pompous scoundrels who waited until the last moment to create an “agreement” from which they are already rushing to distance themselves.
If they only cared about the general public and not their political capital for the upcoming election, this could have been resolved a long time ago without the theatrics. Thanks to their childish antics over the past several weeks, the United States is now the laughingstock of virtually every country on the planet.
If only the Founding Fathers had the foresight to include an “Impeach All” clause in the Constitution!
