Man indicted in fatal shooting in March

The man accused in the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old aspiring hip-hop artist in March has been indicted.

Brandon Hill, 22, has been jailed at the Clark County Detention Center without bail since May 19 on unrelated charges.

The indictment charges Hill with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of grand larceny, one count of murder with a deadly weapon and one count of carrying a concealed firearm.

Michael Portaro was shot multiple times outside Tanaya Creek Brewery in the northwest valley near Tenaya Way and Cheyenne Avenue. Metro Police had identified Hill as a suspect in the shooting in June.

Hill’s arraignment is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 10.
