Motorcyclist critically injured
A North Las Vegas man was in critical condition Wednesday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at the intersection of H Street and Washington Avenue, Metro Police said.
Police said a preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist, Michael Kracht, 51, was southbound on H Street about 12:45 p.m. when the motorcycle went through a red light and was hit by a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville headed east on Washington, police said.
Kracht, who was ejected from the 2008 Shanghai-Meitian bike, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.

Shanghai-Meitian does not manufacture "motorcycles" only scooters which should not even be allowed on the streets of Las Vegas due to their lack of ability to acquire and maintain proper speed.
