Motorcyclist critical after collision with car

Motorcyclist critically injured

A North Las Vegas man was in critical condition Wednesday after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car at the intersection of H Street and Washington Avenue, Metro Police said.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed the motorcyclist, Michael Kracht, 51, was southbound on H Street about 12:45 p.m. when the motorcycle went through a red light and was hit by a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville headed east on Washington, police said.

Kracht, who was ejected from the 2008 Shanghai-Meitian bike, was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.
