Insomniac surprised the world this spring when the company announced its annual Electric Daisy Carnival would head a few hours east from LA to call Las Vegas home. Another curve ball was thrown at fans of the event when Insomniac revealed it would add a third day to the carnival’s lineup. And Monday, the company gave every EDM-junkie on the planet the announcement they’ve been waiting for: the headlining acts.

Spinning the fest’s first evening (June 24) is none other than Dutch DJ Tiësto, who currently makes a monthly appearance at the Joint. Another Vegas regular will follow him, as David Guetta (who teamed with his wife Cathy to bring their F*** Me I’m Famous party to Wet Republic this summer) will take the tables on the 25th. And wrapping up the carnival’s first-ever third day are the Swedish House Mafia trio (Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell).

It’s pretty clear that Insomniac is banking on a high tourist turnout, as all of these acts regularly make it to Sin City already. Make no mistake though—there are still plenty of reasons for locals to head out to the Speedway. The caliber of the named talent says something about what’s to come. The rest of the bill, yet to be announced, will most likely round out an impressive fest from top to bottom, and if you dig electronic music and have seen photos from past years’ carnivals, you’ve probably already determined your presence is essential.

Tickets for EDC go on sale this Saturday, April 23, at noon Pacific time. Interested? Keep up on all the announcements and happenings at insomniac.com.
