Company donating 175 pet oxygen masks to local fire departments

Firefighters don’t just rescue people from burning buildings, sometimes they save a family pet, too.

And sometimes those pets need some help even after they get out of the building, so a company that sells a pet product is donating 175 pet oxygen masks to Southern Nevada fire departments.

Invisible Fence Brand of Southern Nevada is donating the masks to the Clark County, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Mesquite and Boulder City fire departments Wednesday.

The masks are cone-shaped and reusable, similar to oxygen masks used on humans.

The donation is one of the largest by the Invisible Fence company, which has been donating the masks to fire departments in the U.S. and Canada since 2009.
