A man was taken into police custody Sunday evening after authorities say his girlfriend was found dead in an apartment east of the Las Vegas Strip.
Metro Police Lt. Ted Snodgrass said officers arrived about 6:50 p.m. to the Harbor Island Apartments, 370 E. Harmon Ave., and found the woman dead. That location is between Koval Lane and Paradise Road.
Homicide detectives arrived to take over the investigation and the woman's boyfriend was in police custody Sunday night.
The woman's name will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
