The Eldorado High School music department is hosting a special guest later this month: The United States Air Force Band of the Golden West's Concert Band.
The band will perform a free concert comprised of standard band literature at 4 p.m. April 17 at Eldorado.
The concert is sponsored by the Eldorado High School Band and the Clark County School District Department of Secondary Fine Arts.
Maj. Keith Bland is the commander of the Band of the Golden West, which is based at Travis Air Force Base in California. Bland will lead the musicians as they perform music in a variety of styles, ranging from traditional wind ensembles, to patriotic music, to marches, to soloists.
The band performs in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Idaho and California.
