A 45-year-old man wanted in Oklahoma on charges of molestation was arrested in Henderson today after he surrendered to police.

Lonnie Ray Correll, who was profiled on "America’s Most Wanted," contacted a Henderson police detective to arrange his surrender. Correll met with the detective at the North Community Police Station and was taken into custody.

He is being held without bond in the Henderson Detention Center pending an extradition hearing.

Correll is wanted on warrants from Norman Police in Oklahoma charging him with rape of a child. He is accussed of molesting an 11-year-old girl in 2009.

Police were first alerted Sunday that Correll was possibly in Henderson when a caller reported he was staying in the Desert Sands RV Park on Sunset Road.

Correll was gone when officers arrived and police determined he left shortly after he was featured on the “America’s Most Wanted” show that aired Saturday night. He had been in town for about two months and claimed to be staying in a nearby desert area since the airing of the episode, he told police.

A detective with the Criminal Apprehension Team, a task force made up of Henderson Police, Metro Police and the FBI, started searching for Correll on Monday. Members of the team spoke with various people who had come into contact with Correll. Each time detectives encouraged residents to urge Correll to surrender if they came in contact with him.
