Forty-two thousand electronic music fans braved the 100-plus-degree temperatures in San Bernardino, California, for the 16th annual Nocturnal Festival last weekend. Six stages featured headliners such as Ferry Corsten, Steve Angello, Tocadisco, Dada Life and more. The pièce de résistance in a full-immersion wonderland complete with roaming performers, costumed characters and art instillations was the Alice’s House stage. Created by designer Stephen Lieberman (Perfecto, Eve and Tao) and VJed by Vello Virkhaus (who’s created visuals for Perfecto, Rok and The Crystal Method), the video game-like platforms and 78,000-square-foot tent (the largest ever constructed on the West Coast) had the most insane production we’ve ever seen at a major festival. -Deanna Rilling

If you’re looking for that same vibe here in Vegas, you’re out of luck. Fabulous, slated for October 30 at the Orleans Arena, has been canceled, and tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase. Still, there’s plenty of other events around town to keep you costumed and content, such as Devil’s Night at Crown Nightclub October 29 and Fetish and Fantasy at the Hard Rock October 30. -DR

Down & Derby is on the move again, to an even larger venue than its previous homes at Rain and Beauty Bar. The roller skating disco returns October 8 at the Joint from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. $15 at the door or $5 if you RSVP in advance at downandderby.org.- DR

Our pick of the week for combining pigskin and bare skin? Football Monday Nights at Sapphire. General admission is free (if you arrive in your own transportation). Or there’s a $20 VIP showroom, which gets you three hosted drinks, a buffet and nearly-nude cheerleaders doing dollar dances at halftime. –DR

Blue Martini is going pink! For the month of October, the Town Square staple will ditch its blue carpet and uniforms for pink ones in an effort to raise breast cancer awareness. Be there October 16—a big pink party is planned. –April Corbin
