The Get Back anniversary at Beauty Bar Wow, didn’t we just celebrate the seventh anniversary with Jurassic 5’s Nu-Mark headlining? If the eighth birthday is anything like last year’s, expect massive crowds, funky soul music on actual vinyl records, plus all the cool kids in skinny jeans and thick-rimmed glasses you can stand. A surprise special guest will headline, plus sets by Johnny Fever, Shred, Johnny Rox and residents. October 1, doors at 10 p.m., call 598-1965 for more info.

Sounds of the Underground at Fort Cheyenne All responsible ages are welcome at this ongoing underground dance-music party as DJs Rebis and Sinai spin back-to-back. October 2, doors at 8 p.m., $15 before 9 p.m., $20 after, 2428 E. Cheyenne Ave, myspace.com/sotulv.

Naked Sushi at Geisha House Strategically placed sashimi and coyly located California rolls will be on display for your perusal—along with a nude lady doubling as a serving platter. If you aren’t a fan of fish, there will also be $1 sake, $3 shots of Crown, $5 Heinekens and open-format DJs spinning all night. The Dan Show is scheduled to film. October 2, 10 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., 6125 S. Fort Apache.

America’s Best DJ Awards and Qbert at The Palms It shouldn’t matter if you prefer hip-hop to house or trance to Top 40, anyone can appreciate legendary turntabilist Qbert as he takes control of Rain Saturday night. Spinning an electro set for the ABDJ party, he’ll be honored at Ghostbar before the gig and awarded the title of America’s Best DJ—and a gold-plated mixer. October 2, Ghostbar doors at 8 p.m.; Rain doors at 11 p.m., $30 cover at each venue, free for local ladies.

6th annual Vegas Prom at Tao Beach If you haven’t snapped because prom-court nominees have been begging for votes every minute, rent a tux or hit up Jessica McClintock for something satiny and reassure yourself that high school never ends. October 5, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., $20 and up. Visit vegasprom.com for tickets and more info.
