Kambrenn Heatley returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and the Desert Oasis High football team didn’t stop scoring in a 77-44 victory against Bonanza.
Bonanza (0-3) has given up 199 points in three games this year, including 74 last week against Durango.
“It was really bizarre with all of that scoring,” Desert Oasis coach Faron Seibel said. “We had that many points, and I still wasn’t confident in the outcome.”
Devin Fortenberry led the Diamondbacks with five touchdowns and more than 200 yards rushing, quarterback Trevon Barnes had two touchdown runs and Jossaiah Raval had a long interception return for a touchdown.
