Crash

A car crashed into a pizzeria on Wednesday afternoon in the Summerlin area, smashing through a window, the shop’s owner said.

Shaun Conboy, owner of Eastside Pizza, 1000 S. Rampart Blvd., said he was on his way to pick up menus from Henderson about 5 p.m. when he got a call about the wreck and returned to the store.

Metro Police said the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake and ran into the building. Nobody was injured, police said.

The driver, who was not identified, declined to comment.

Conboy didn’t have an estimate of damage to the store.
