An autobiography written by UFC light heavyweight and former U.S. Marine Brian Stann is scheduled for official release Wednesday.
"Heart for the Fight" was written by Stann and author John R. Bruning.
Known as one of the more popular fighters in the world's largest mixed-martial-arts organization, Stann goes by the nickname "All American" in the octagon.
The 29-year-old fighter played middle linebacker for the Naval Academy before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry officer.
In addition to his fighting career, Stann also serves as the executive director of a non-profit organization called Hire Heroes USA, which helps returning service men and women find jobs.
Stann isn't the first UFC fighter to venture into writing.
Fellow light heavyweight and Las Vegas resident Forrest Griffin made the New York Times bestsellers list last year with his book, "Got Fight." In August, Griffin published his second book, "Be Ready When the (expletive) Goes Down: Forrest Griffin's Survival Guide to the Apocalypse."
