Prepare those taste buds. The semi-annual San Gennaro Feast is upon Las Vegas again.

The twice-yearly Feast held in honor of the Patron Saint of Naples is the largest Italian festival in the valley. Although it started as a religious commemoration, the street fair now celebrates Italian heritage with ethnic food, live performances, carnival rides and games.

Residents can enjoy the Feast’s sausage and peppers at the Silverton Hotel and Casino, 3333 Blue Diamond Road, Tuesday through Sunday. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and free for children less than 54 inches tall. Discounts and coupons are available on the Feast’s website.

A traditional Italian procession will occur at 7 p.m. Sept. 15. City officials including Mayor Oscar Goodman will join the Knights of Columbus Honor Guard and Father Dave Casaleggio to bless the Feast.

Donations to the San Gennaro Statue will go to the St. Ann Church and Catholic Charities.

The schedule:

-- Tuesday, Sept. 14: 4-11 p.m.

-- Wednesday, Sept. 15: 4-11 p.m.

-- Thursday, Sept. 16: 4-11 p.m.
